mileage reimbursement

as a director how do I pay myself mileage claims? The help pages keep telling me to set up vendors, create a bill, etc... but when I try it I get taken to an upgrade page so I assume QBO can't actually do it?

QuickBooks Online can track your mileage. Let's fix this odd behavior by running some troubleshooting steps. 

 

You may be experiencing some browser-related issues. To start with, let's track miles on an incognito window. Here is a list of keyboard shortcuts to open one:

 

  • For Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari: ⌘+ Shift + N

 

If the mileage saves, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. Piled browser history can be the reason for some issues on the page. You may also switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

I have entered (manually) 5 journeys into the Mileage  section under expenses but I can't find a n button or sequence to actually pay for the journeys. So the details are entered correctly but how do I make the payment.  Any suggestions please!

QuickBooks Online provides a tool to track mileage and calculate your potential deduction earnings, but the reimbursement itself would need to be recorded in QuickBooks manually by setting up a mileage reimbursement expense account.

unfortunately all the solutions provided from Quickbooks company don't work on the cheaper package that I am running, which is mainly because we don't have any sales and don't expect to have Sales for at least 9 months yet.
