Question

My client has an employee who wants to pay a set amount to their pension each week (higher than the usual percentage). How can I set this up in payroll advanced?

It's good to see you here, kirsty6.

 

You can set it up within the employee's pension settings. I'll show you how:

 

  1. Go to the Payroll tab and select Employees.
  2. From the Actions drop-down, adjust HMRC values in the HMRC adjustments field.
  3. Or select or use the arrow keys for Employee Pension Contribution and tick the Apply tax relief box if this applies to the pension type and then add an amount.
  4. Do the same again actions > adjust HMRC values in the additional field.
  5. Select the Employer Pension Contribution and enter the amount in the Amount field.
  6. If the pension deduction values don't update you may have to re-calculate actions > recalculate.
