Hello there, @1231 4614 2598 824.

The possible reason why your payroll is not creating journals is that your Journal Mapping settings don't have a selected bank account. To fix this, let's review your Journal Mapping if there's a bank associated with it.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. Choose Advance in the Account and Settings.
  4. In the Journal Mapping section, check the Net pay account if there's a bank selected.

Once done, I'm confident that your payroll will create journals.

While I can see that entering the bank account works, I would have expected the ability to decide where I want the employees gross pas and ER's NI to sit in my chart of accounts.

I have staff that are employed directed in the COGS process as well as Office Admin so I want to be able to set Account Codes accordingly.

Also, I see that the the Employee name does not come across in the posting journal either

I would have expected a proper integration when using your integrated systems

It's my pleasure to help you today, ---11.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO) UK, there isn't an option to set a specific accounts as to where your employees gross pay would be under in your Chart of Accounts.

Once you run payroll, the system collates all the journal entries based on the total employees. However, the details of this can only be viewed on the Payroll Detail reports.
