My payroll transactions are coming up multiple times

Hi there - I pay my staff monthly but for some reason have multiple payment transactions to people for different dates in the month. This is causing the balance to be out.

Let's check the Audit Log, @chris-paul-force.

 

This feature is the first place we can run through whenever there are transactions that pop out all of a sudden. This way, we can also trace who made these multiple payment transactions to people into your payroll account.

 

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Settings icon.
  2. Select Audit log under Tools.
  3. Adjust the following:
    User: All Users;
    Date changed: This month;
    Events: All events.
  4. Review each payment transaction.

 

Also, to make sure the amounts are accurate, you can run a payroll report (Payroll Summary, Payroll Summary by Employee, or Payroll Details) for reference. To know more about the Payroll reports that you can run in QuickBooks, see the below articles:
