New hire reporting
QuickBooks was very excited to tell me they would do the online new hire reporting and terminations. I received a letter from the state of Texas that our new hires were being reported late. I looked into it. Our new hires are being reported late. However, QB has not done ANY new hire reporting since the end of Sept. It's been almost 3 months since QB has reported our new hires. I have no idea if QB is reporting our terminations.
Is there a report in QB I can go to that will show me what new hires and terminations have been reported? I need to find out so I can fix this problem.
Federal law mandates that New Hires be reported within 20 days of the date of hire and terminations within 7 days. QB told me they report new hires after their first payroll, but they are actually reporting after the second pay roll. How can QB offer this service but not follow the legal requirements? The incompetency of this company never ceases to amazing me.
