Help! Payroll recently updated for QBO, and I seem to have lost my previous months payroll FPS. HMRC is reporting that last months FPS wasn't made and I can't get it from the QBO payroll as it only shows one months worth since upgrading. I think the issue may because I ran a month early but I am completely out of my depth. I have downloaded all the historic payroll data before the upgrade was complete. How do I put this right ?

It's great to see you here in the Community space, @Olly75. Let me help you view your previously filed payroll FPS in QuickBooks Online Payroll (QBOP).

 

Please note that previous filings in QBOP can be found under Filed Forms. Each card displays the form's name, the pay period it was sent, the filing status, and the submission date.

 

To access previous months' payroll FPS in QBO, here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click on the Payroll tab and select Payroll Tax.
  3. Select the Filings tab and click on Resources.
  4. Under Filed Forms, click on Achieved Forms and Filings.
  5. You can adjust the date range to locate the previous month's payroll FPS.

 

If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting QBOP support to check the missing FPS and for historical payroll data retrieval options.

Thanks. I can now see what has happened. The old payroll system payroll was run successfully in June. When I ran it in July it ran Augusts payroll after the upgrade. I cannot access any payrolls before the upgrade (so cannot submit a FPS) and when I look at the zip file of downloads from the previous system it only has payroll up to Jun. I will need the missing payroll added so I am guessing I will need to contact support.
