Payroll - backdating pay

Hi

I set my Ltd company up in February and have been completing work for the Ltd Co since then.  I have only just got around to sorting out the accounts side as I also run an e-commerce store and since Covid it has been manic!  My question is can I backdate my pay to the commencement date of the company and if so how?

Hello, @nikkickc. 

 

You can enter payroll using the backdated (previous) date. Or, you can enter a year to date payroll following these steps:

 

  1. Tap Employees on the left pane.
  2. Select the employee you wish to enter YTD figures for.
  3. Hit Year to Date on the left menu.
  4. You will notice all the fields are inactive. To make the field active and available to change, click Make Adjustments on the bottom right corner.
  5. Add the Year to Date values for the appropriate fields into the Adjustments column.

Hi, How do I create a backdated payroll in the new set up of quickbooks? I need to adjust salary from April 23 to August 23. Thanks

Hi Curious, thanks for joining this thread. Are you using QuickBooks Online Standard or Advanced Payroll, and have you already ran any pay periods in QuickBooks?
