Payroll: I need to adjust and re-submit a FPS (Full payment submission) for 20/21 to HMRC. How can I do this?

Specifically I need to reduce the Employees NI contribution as the wrong letter was used. The FPS for 20/21 has of course already been submitted.

Hello, @Mike Hammerton.

 

Let's make sure you're able to re-submit a Full Payment Submission (FPS). You can make an employee adjustment and update HMRC for the changes. However, for in order to create the payroll adjustment, you'll have to contact our Payroll Support.

 

They have the tools necessary and assist you from there. Here's how to reach out:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, go to Help at the top.
  2. Select Contact Us towards the bottom.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue. Then, tap Continue.
  4. Click Chat with us.
