Let me help you get back on the right track, @accounts464.

This could be a possible browser’s cache issue. Stored data can cause unusual behaviour to the browser. To verify this, let’s access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private or incognito window.

A private window doesn’t save any cache files, thus, it’s a great tool in identifying a browser’s cache issue. To open an incognito window, you can utilize these keyboard shortcuts.

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you’re able to add your employee via a private window, I recommend clearing your regular browser’s cache to refresh the system. If the issue persists, I suggest using other browsers that are available to you. This way, we can check if the issue is within the browser.

In case you need to edit your employee’s details, you can refer to this link that can guide you through the steps: Edit employees in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

Let me know if there’s anything else you need help with managing your employee’s. Just leave a reply with more details about it and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Have a great week!
