QuickBooks HMRC fatal error, Community soluitons not working

hi, 

when I run payroll on QuickBooks advanced online I get this error: 

  • fatal: 1046 - Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service. | Gateway

 

I read this article on the community site and followed the steps:

None of these fix the issue. I can log in fine on HMRC and I've copied and pasted the login details and password to ensure there are no errors and nothings fixing the pay run issue. Has nyone any suggestions that might help?

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue, Ken Brown.

 

There are times that your browser is full of frequently accessed page resources that cause some unusual responses. You can log into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in a private window (incognito). Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).


Once signed in, you can try to check if the entries are already showing on the bank register. If so, you can return to your default browser and clear the cache to speed up the loading process.

 

Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. You'll also want to use other supported browsers.

 

However, if you're still getting the error, I suggest reaching out to our support team so they can investigate further. They have the tools to pull up your account securely. To reach them, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter your concern
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  4. Choose either Chat or Callback.
