Retract a P45 or new employee?

Due to the Covid-19 I made an employee redundant two weeks but have found out i can now furlough but i need to get him back on the payroll to do this.  Can i retract a P45 or do i need to set him back up as a new employee?  Thanks

Hi - Did this thread get closed out.

 

I need to re-enable an employee that has been issued a P45. Can I do this in the system as the re-enable is greyed out, or do i need to recreate the employee?

You would need to create them as a new employee in your payroll in Quickbooks.

Yes, you can retract a P45 for your employee so you won't be able to set up his information again. This way, you'll be able to process furlough payroll smoothly.

Once done, you're now ready with generating the furlough for your employee. In this case, you'll need to pay them in full (100%), and HMRC will reimburse 80% of their salary afterward. You can reach out to the said agency to verify the reimbursement process.

Thanks Betty but the edit for changing a leave status is greyed out and the link you gave doesnt mention this, any other ideas?

Can we ask what payroll system you are using, is it Advanced, standard or paysuite?
