Salary sacrifice and SMP

An employee is on maternity leave and has a salary sacrifice in place, within Quickbooks Advanced payroll is there a function to change the employer contribution from a percentage to a fixed amount so that the employer pension is not calculated on the SMP amount, and remains the same as prior to the employee going on Maternity Leave?

Let me share some information about Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll, JaneShrubb22.

 

To change the employer contribution from a percentage to a fixed amount, we'll need to manually enter an amount to make any adjustment. Just go to  Advanced settings and choose SMP adjust option. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll. Then, go to Add a Statutory Maternity Leave section. 

 

To view your Statutory Maternity Pay NI deductions summary in a P32 Report, just follow the steps below: 

 

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Search for P32 Report, then select to open it.
  3. Select the appropriate Tax year.
  4. Press Run report.
  5. When the report has been generated, select NI deductions summary.
