Welcome to the Community, @moria.

We want to assist you with your payroll concern in QuickBooks Online. For us to provide the best solution, I need to gather more data about the issue.

Can you share with us what type of payroll subscription you have? Any additional information will help us provide the right resolution for you to get back on track.

For Standard Payroll users, you can only change the pay date as long as you haven't run your first payroll. You can follow these steps to go back and edit:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Move to the Payroll tab.
  3. Select the Pay schedule section and make your changes.
  4. Click Save pay schedule.

If you already did, the only way to change the payroll settings is by deleting the pay run.

Additionally, I recommend the following resource, which contains more information about the pay types:

Let me know in the comment section below if you have any other questions. Have a great day ahead.
