I have entered the employees start date for paternity leave.  I have then run the wages, however it is not putting paternity pay onto the wage slip.  The start date was monday and the end of our week is Wednesday  -  is there waiting days like SSP?

Hi Sue1966,

I'm here to share some information about Statutory Paternity Pay.

Once the employee completed the start date and either the baby's due date or the matching date the system will automatically calculate the entitlement and pre-populate any amounts due.

I've added this reference for the detailed information about Statutory Paternity Pay: Statutory Paternity Pay.

Hello Sue1966, Thanks for reaching out we'd need to look at this in more detail to see why it is not putting the pay on the wage slip for Statutory Paternity Leave.  It is possible they do not qualify for SPP. What date did they start with your company and what date is the baby's due date? Have they been employed for 26 weeks continuously up to and including their qualifying week?

Hi  The baby was born on the 9th.  Yes they do qualify.

I spoke with someone at Quickbooks and they said that it wasnt due to be paid until the 15th May  -  therefore it would be on next weeks payrun  -  does not seem right to me as they are only getting paid for two days work and no paternity pay this week.
