The monthly CIS submission is being rejected by HMRC and I am advised to contact Quickbooks

HMRC have rejected the CIS monthly submission, Although the form was received it could not be accepted as if failed HMRC data checks. . Error 5012

Hi @vousden_c.

 

Let's ensure we remove the spaces within the UTR or NI numbers. This may be the reason hy the error 5012 appeared.

 

Please check that the correct UTR no., Employer’s PAYE reference no., and Accounts Office reference no. have been entered within the CIS settings by going to the Cogwheel > Accounts & Settings > Advanced > CIS.

 

After this, please check that the correct UTR no. and NINO have been entered within any subcontractors settings which you are submitting for by going to Expenses > Suppliers > Select subcontractor > Edit > CIS information. 

 

If any of this information is incorrect, please correct it and then attempt to resubmit from the CIS taxes page.
