What code can I use for payroll ID to stop HMRC doubling up ?I've just taken over a payroll which didn't use payroll ID's and QB won't let me leave the box black ?

Hi ledgertime, thanks for joining the QB Community - all payroll submitted to HMRC will have a payroll identifier for the employee, was the previous payroll ran on QB or another software?

It was run on other software with no payroll id

We would recommend contacting HMRC or the previous payroll provider to retrieve the code for the employee(s), as this will have been submitted with an ID in the background.
