Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @michaelwhelan74 .

To ensure we're on the same page, can you add more details about the grace period you're referring to?

To connect your bank account via open banking, here's what you'll need to do:

  1. On the left menu, click Banking.
  2. Pick Connect from the landing page, or Add account if you've already created an account.
  3. Search for your bank account.
  4. Hit Continue and read through the terms and conditions and then click Agree.
  5. Follow the steps on your bank's internet banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you have authorised the connection, you will automatically be taken back to QuickBooks.
  6. On the QuickBooks page, select the bank accounts you want to connect, and which account they will link to in QuickBooks.
  7. Choose Connect.

Once done, your QuickBooks account is now connected to your bank account and transactions will be posted on the Banking page.
