Why are all the dropdown menus greyed-out in Online App for UK ? It works fine at work, but on my laptop I can't use the menus.

I can access each part through the dashboard but not through the dropdowns, so I can't access the Chart of Accounts or open multiple windows, which I need to do.

Hello there, @Penllergare.


Thanks for providing detailed information about the issue when working on the QBO app. 


Since the options are greyed out on your end, let's reset the application’s data to fix the problem. Sometimes cache stores up in the system causing unusual behaviour in the product.  


Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Help me and choose Reset App Data.
  2. Allow it to complete the process before closing the app.
  3. When opening QBO, right-click the app and Run as Administrator.

 

Now try clicking the menus and see if they are working already. If you continue to get the same result, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the application.


The method may vary depending on the operating system of your laptop. Please refer to the QuickBooks App for Windows and Mac: General support article and go to the How do I uninstall the app? section for the detailed instructions. On the same link, you’ll also find the steps on how to reinstall the application.


The issue in opening multiple tabs, on the other hand, is currently under investigation by our engineers. They know and are working for a permanent solution to resolve it. 


Please reach out to our Customer Care Team so they can add you to the list of affected users and receive notification about this through email. Follow these to contact support:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_GB/contact.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online.
  3. Select a topic twice.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and click Get Phone Number or Start a Message.

In the meantime, you can access and work on your QBO company via a web browser.
