Hello, @thebevans.

One reason possible is that when migrated from the different payroll providers in (QBO) to another. The EPS location to report has changed. You'll need to file an EPS for each payroll.

If you are using QuickBooks standard payroll

  1. Select Taxes, then select Payroll Tax.
  2. In the Payroll Tax Centre, you'll notice that if you have an EPS filing that needs to be sent, it is listed under Due Now with a status of Overdue and the date that it was supposed to be sent.
  3. Select the EPS and view the details.
  4. Select Submit. If this is your first time, you'll need to enter your HMRC credentials first, and then hit Submit.

If you are using QuickBooks advanced payroll, you can check out this article Employer Payment Summary (EPS) in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.

Once done, you may visit this page for future reference: Employees and Payroll for QuickBooks Online.
