Why is an employee with approved accrued holiday leave after maternity period not included on pay run?

Hi @summerfieldsgc, I'm here to assist address the issue of approved accrued holiday leave for the maternity period that wasn't included in your pay run. 

To start, ensure that you select the correct start date for when the SMP will begin by following these steps: 

1. In your QBO account, select Payroll and click Employees.
2. Then, select the name of the employee and choose Statutory Payments. Click Add.
3. In the dropdown choose Statutory Maternity Leave.
4. From there, enter the Start date and Baby due date. You'll see the Average weekly earnings, select Override to edit it.
5. There's a message that will appear if an employee is eligible for SMP, just click the View log to see the info.
6. If required, modify the Weeks payable. Then, if applicable input the Weeks already paid.
7. Ensure to select the correct Calculation type (Weekly payments or Align with pay period).
8. Click Offset SMP if you want to offset against basic pay. If not selected, only the statutory payment will be made.
9. You'll see the table shows the SMP due and the Status. Then, under Advanced settings, choose the applicable options.
10. Just click the Add option under Attachments, to upload documents. When finished, select Save.

To apply a leave application to a pay run, you first need to create a new pay run. If any employee has applied for leave, it will appear under the Weekly Period Ending heading. The number next to the heading is the number of outstanding leave applications that have not been applied.

Then, hover over the employee for whom you would like to apply leave for and choose Apply.
