Why was the P45 not submitted with the FPS on Quickbooks Payroll Advanced

One of my client has had a letter from HRMC saying that they have not submitted the P45. I was under the impression this now went with the FPs so was wondering what my client may have done wrong

Hi Rachel, thanks for your post - did you mark the employee as a leaver before running their final payroll period, and was the FPS submitted successfully to HMRC?

The FPS was definitely submitted successfully and I was wondering regarding the timing of the employees being marked as a leaver.  With have unlocked and resubmitted the appropriate FPS so hopefully this should work.
