Import receive payments

clinet uses a third party for collects income and then remits - i have file of the trx s( in excel)  that make up various payments , rather than reenter 6 months worth wondered if way to import

You can convert the Excel file into a CSV format. Then, import it into QBO. I'd be glad to share all the steps with you.

 

Firs, follow the steps in these Microsoft articles on how to convert the Excel file to CSV:

 

 

Second, follow the format in this article so you can import it: Format CSV Files in Excel to Get Bank Transactions Into QuickBooks.


Third, use these steps to move the transactions to your account:

 

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping menu, then proceed to the Bank transactions tab.
  2. Click Upload transactions.
  3. Select Drag and drop or select files. Then, look for the CSV file.
  4. Click Continue and select the account you want to upload the transactions into. 
  5. Choose Continue again to proceed. 
  6. Follow the succeeding steps on how to map the data to complete the import process.
