Question

Can anyone help me. Bank import keeps pulling 1970/01/01 as the date even though preview of import shows correct date.

To ensure a smooth import of your transactions into QBO, Athaliah. Let's ensure that your CSV file is in the correct format.

The date format in the file should match what is required by QBO, and each column should clearly represent the corresponding details, such as Description and Amount.

I've included a screenshot for your visual reference.

To manually upload your bank transactions, refer to these steps:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Click the Link account ▼ dropdown, then hit Upload from file.
  4. Tap Drag and drop or select files and select the CSV file you created. Then, select Continue.
  5. In the QuickBooks Account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then, select Continue.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the correct fields in QuickBooks. Then select Continue.
  7. Select the transactions you would like to import. Then select Continue.
  8. Click Yes. Then, hit Done.

Additionally, you can reconcile your account to ensure that your transactions are correctly matched with your bank and credit card statements.

Let me know if you still have concerns about importing bank transactions. I'll be on the lookout for your reply. Take care.
