How do I import my payroll data into QuickBooks?

Hello there, @hchurch.

Right now, the option to import payroll data in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. As of the moment, this is the information that you can import:

Bank data
Customers
Suppliers
Chart of accounts
Products and Services
Invoices
Bills.

Thus, you'll want to consider manually entering the paychecks you create outside of QuickBooks via journal entry.

To create a journal entry in QBO, here's how:

Click the + New button in the left navigation menu.
Select Journal entry.
Fill out the fields to create your journal entry.
Pick Save and new or Save and close.

As I check here on my end, the feature you're trying to access in QBO is currently unavailable. You can send a feature request to our Product Development Team. This way, they'll see your request and consider it in future product updates. To begin, here's how:

Access your QuickBooks Online company.
In the upper-right corner, click the Gear icon.
Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
Enter a brief description of your product suggestion. and then click Next.
Type your email address.
Once done, click Send Message.

For now, consider getting a third-party application to accomplish the task and import your payroll data to your QuickBooks Online account. Visit our QB App Store to see a list of 3rd party apps suitable for your business need: QuickBooks App Store.
