Question

Once you have manually uploaded a file and for some reason the dates are incorrect how does one reverse the download to correct this?

Hi Sandra,

It could be that this is just due to the format of your date. You can check it in your settings first before removing your files.

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Accounts and Settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. Go to the Other Preferences section to check the date range.

If the format is right, you can do the browser troubleshooting steps to check if a browser issue is causing the behavior. We'll do this because if we'll just remove and re-upload the files, there's a possibility that you'll get the same thing.

By the way, uploading a file means two things to us. It's either you're referring to attachment files or online banking transactions. Therefore, I'll include the steps on how to remove them.

To check for a browser issue, you can log in to QuickBooks in a private window. Upload one file or a bank transaction, and then see the date. If it's correct, please go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If not, try other browsers to isolate the case.

To remove an attachment file:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Attachments.
  2. Click the down arrow in the ACTION column.
  3. Select Delete.

To remove an online banking transaction:

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select the transactions that you want to remove by placing a checkmark in their checkboxes.
  3. Click Batch Actions and select Exclude Selected.
  4. Click the Excluded tab and select the translations again.
  5. Click Delete.

Try re-uploading your files, and let us know what happens. Have a good one!
