When using Lists-Chart Of Accounts, when creating an Expenses Account the option to input a VAT Code is available. However when I try to create an Income Account it isn't. How do I allocate a VAT Code to my Income Accounts. Thanks

Apologies, I forgot to add:

This happens inside the Sample Company I downloaded.

Thanks

I apologise for the confusion as the answer I provided above was in relation to QuickBooks Online. I have verified with our Desktop advisers and the option to setup an income account is not available on the Desktop product by design.

Hello sister69,

Welcome to the Community - thank you for your question!

This option should show when creating an income account. Which browser are you using at the moment?

Thanks,

Talia

Web browser? Microsoft Edge

Hey sisters69,

Thanks for the detail. When going to Lists > Chart of Accounts > New > Income it  should automatically show the Default VAT Code box and drop-down.

To see if this is caused by a cache issue on the browser please try clearing the cache for all time on MS Edge or signing in through a different browser such as Google Chrome.

Thanks for the info.

Have cleared cache, with no effect I am afraid.

I understood Desktop Pro did not use online?

Is it worth uninstalling/re-installing software?

Regards & Thanks
