Question

HMRC are now suggesting using software to file company accounts. Can I use QB for this or do I need different software?

I understand the benefits of using QuickBooks Online (QBO) for filing your company accounts to HMRC, director-chasesu. Let me provide some insights regarding this matter.

Currently, QBO only supports direct filing of VAT returns and Full Payment Submissions (FPS) to HMRC. Filing your company accounts through QBO is unavailable.

In the meantime, you can explore various filing options by visiting the HMRC website.

Furthermore, you can generate financial reports in QBO for reference when filing your company accounts to HMRC.

Additionally, for guidance on closing your previous financial year and preparing for the new one, please refer to this material: Year-end guide for QuickBooks Online.
