MTD for VAT registration

I am very confused about Sign -Up MTD for VAT. I do not use agent. But the link given by quickbooks is for sign up for client .  I tried to find the site in government's website to explain how to sign up MTD for myself. But just after "searching software", I cannot proceed  further .  Please tell me the further procedure to sign up MTD.

I do not still understand.   The link for " Sign up for MTD with HMRC" is "sign up for MTD for income tax"  , not "for VAT".  It does not show how to sign up for VAT.  How can I sign up for MTD for VAT?  Unless I sign up, will I not receive email from HMRC?

Hello Curryone-yahoo-c, It's no longer possible to sign up for mtd for VAT by yourself if that is what you are trying to do 'All VAT registered businesses should now be signed up for Making Tax Digital for VAT. You no longer need to sign up clients.

HMRC will sign up all remaining businesses to Making Tax Digital for VAT automatically unless you are exempt or have applied for exemption.'

On the right top corner of the screen , "Making Tax Digital enabled" is shown. But there is still sign " we cannot connect to HMRC right now".  Click "take action". We can ignore No1 and No2 process as you say now we are connected automatically.  In No3, though I put the VAT number, the screen went back to " something not right". What is problem?

Hi curryono-yahoo-c, this message appears when the credentials entered in QuickBooks do not match an existing gateway account - did you register your business for MTD with HMRC prior to the cut-off point?
