VAT Account not connecting.

I have had to change my email address with HMRC. How do I get the accounts to talk to each other. I have altered the email address on Quickbooks.

It's good to see new members here in the Community space, @huskywines. Let me help you with your VAT account in QuickBooks Online.

 

The possible reason why your VAT account wasn't connected is due to using old MTD credentials.

 

After changing your email address with HMRC, you'll receive an email containing your MTD credential, which you can use when setting up your MTD in QuickBooks Online.

 

If you haven't received an email, please check your spam/junk folder. If you've been waiting more than 72 hours, I recommend contacting the HMRC.

 

But if you received the email from HMRC, you can reconnect the MTD in QBO using the credentials they sent to you.
