Question

A customer has asked how much he has paid from January 2023 to February 2024. Can I find this information without going through and adding up all the invoices paid?

Hey there, @colliepropmaint

I'd be glad to share with you the steps on how much your customer paid from January 2023 to February 2024. All you have to do is run the Transaction List by Customer report in QuickBooks, then filter its date, customer, and transaction type. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Reports and search for the Transaction List by Customer report.
  2. Open the report.
  3. Use Custom dates to filter the Report period. Select the dates from January 2023 to February 2024.
  4. Click Customise.
  5. In the Filter section, choose Payment as Transaction Type.
  6. In the Customer drop-down list, choose a specific customer.
  7. Select Run report.

Financial reports in QuickBooks give you tons of great info about your business. There are many ways to customise them to show specific accounts or customers so the right data shows up in the right place.
