Hello John,

Yes, you can set your own custom fields for quotes by importing a customised template.

Before we can import our custom quote template, we'll need to turn on the import option:

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select QuickBooks Labs.
  2. Turn on the Import Style and click Done.

Then, let's download a sample template and instructions. We can use this as our reference when creating our own quote template:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Custom Form Styles.
  2. Click the New style button and select Import style.
  3. Select Quote in the Select a form type field.
  4. Click the Download instructions & samples hyperlink.

Now, you can start creating your own quote template based on the instructions and samples you've downloaded. You can also download the QuickBooks Online EZ Map Fields Catalogue to see how you can add the custom fields.

After that, you can already import it in QuickBooks Online:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Custom Form Styles.
  2. Click the New style button and select Import style.
  3. Select Quote in the Select a form type field.
  4. Select the file in the Upload your DOCX file field.
  5. Click Next and map the fields.
  6. Confirm the imported template.

You can click this link to see the detailed information of the import process.

When you create the quote, make sure you're using the correct quote template.

  1. Open the quote and click Customise at the bottom menu.
  2. Select the imported template.
  3. Click Print or Preview.
  4. Print the quote.

Feel free to drop by if you need anything else.
