Can I schedule an invoice to be automatically sent at a future date?

I am going on holiday and would like to have some invoices sent out while I'm away. Can I schedule this in QBO?

Yes, you can create a scheduled recurring transaction in QuickBooks Online Essentials and Plus. Let me guide you how to create a recurring invoice.

 

  1. Go to Gear icon and select Recurring transactions.
  2. Select New.
  3. Select the type of transaction to create, and then select OK.
  4. Enter a Template name.
  5. On Type dropdown select Scheduled.
  6. Select Customer and enter Email.
  7. Tick Automatically send emails. 
  8. Complete the fields and select Save template.

I already have created the invoice and have it ready to send. I just want to be able to set a date that it is automatically sent in the future.

Thanks for your response, duddyvet.

At the moment, only invoices created as a scheduled recurring invoice will be automatically sent. All invoices created directly at + New or Sales> Invoices tab needs to be sent manually.

How is this not a feature yet? Stop wasting time redesigning the UI and give us the features business owners need. The subscription price keeps increasing but the benefits do not!
