Hi there, @raeleenpk.

This isn't the kind of impression that I'd like you to have, and we know how much time it takes when something isn’t working. This is why we make great efforts to deliver customer satisfaction at all times to fix an issue.

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case where you can't write a message to an invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll further investigate your concern and verify the cause of the issue.

Here’s how to reach them:

  1. Tap the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
  2. In the Assistant tab, scroll down to the Type something field to enter the issue. For example, unable to delete an attachment to a bill.
  3. Click the Get help from a human link and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process.
  4. In How would you like to connect with us? Choose Callback to speak with an agent.

I’ve added this guide in case you‘d like to add specific information to your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. It includes instructions about changing email messages and setting a default custom template.

Lastly, I've also included this helpful article for ideas about the other methods you can start using in accepting payments from your customers: Record Invoice Payments in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any other questions or concerns besides attachments, please don’t hesitate to add a comment below. I’ll be here. Have a great day, and always take care!
