I'm here to help you with allocating a payment to your invoice transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

When you're using a mobile application, you can follow these steps on how you can pay your pending invoice and avoid creating a new invoice transaction.

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Tap on the Hamburger or Menu icon, then go to the All section.
  3. Click on Invoice payments under Money in.
  4. Select the Record invoice payment link, then Record Payment.
  5. Fill in the payment information, then mark the box beside the invoice number.
  6. Save the transaction.

 

Once done, the invoice will now be marked as paid.

 

On the other hand, you may sign in to QuickBooks using a supported browser, then record an invoice payment from there.
