Question

Does anyone else have issues with invoices that have been paid but have recently come back up as overdue???I seem to have so many issues with QB

Once you've received a payment from a customer, it's essential to enter it in QuickBooks Online to change its invoice status to paid. Otherwise, the invoice will stay open and unpaid in the system, resulting in it being marked as overdue.

 

To ensure the invoice is marked as paid, you need to record the payment in QBO. To do so, please follow the steps below.

 

  1. Go to + New, then select Receive payments.
  2. In the Customer dropdown, pick the customer's name.
  3. In the Payment method dropdown, choose how the payment will be made.
  4. In the Deposit to dropdown, select the account where the payment will be deposited.
  5. In the Outstanding Transactions section, check the box next to the invoice for which you're recording the payment.
  6. Once everything is complete, click Save and close.

Thanks for the reply.

I always make sure i mark invoices as paid 

What I'm saying is they have paid and mark as paid.

But have come back up (on the app on my phone only) that they are overdue. 

Which has then increased my earnings.
