Question

Does the attachments field send the files to the customer email address when quoting?

When creating a quote there is a Attachments field. I've placed two files in that attachments field but when I've "save and send" it to the persons email address it hasn't sent the attachments or a link to the attachments? How can I get images/scans to send with quotes?

Hi thomas20,

When you first attach the document, it saves to the quote for your reference in QuickBooks Online but is not customer facing. You need to select the option to attach to email so it is sent to your customer along with the quote:

  1. Select + New, then Quote. Create the quote to your specifications. If you already have one created, instead locate and open this quote.
  2. In the Attachments field, click to browse and attach the file. Once it has fully uploaded, you will see a checkbox 'Attach to email' - select this, then Save and send

Now when you email the quote, the document will be sent as an attachment to the customer. Feel free to reply if you have further questions as I'm here to help!
