Question

Hi i deleted some invoices and data i wasnt meant to today. trying to help the accountant. i want to know is there a way to restore my quick books back to another day.

We're unable to restore the deleted transactions. You'll have to manually re-enter them.

 

Good thing, QuickBooks Online maintains a log of each transaction as it is added, edited, or deleted. You can check the Audit Log report to view the details of the transactions before adding them again. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Audit Log.
  3. Look for the deleted transaction, then click View.

Well it's not very helpful if you need to recreate the same invoice with the same Invoice NUMBER.

You get "

A number so nice, you used it twice. There’s already an invoice with 180999. You can use it again, but it resets your invoice numbers (starting from 180999). Do you still want to use this invoice number? Yes/No"
Why on earth would I want to reset ALL my invoice numbers?
So I reckon the answer is that you CAN'T even recreate the SAME invoice ..
