Changing the column header is simple, rob23.

Please follow these steps below:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click Edit on the invoice template.
  4. Select Content.
  5. Click the Pencil icon at the upper-right hand corner in template's body.
  6. Click EDIT LABELS AND WIDTHS.
  7. Change Activity to Item.
  8. Click Done to save.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you need any further assistance.

Thanks Mary. I was expecting EDIT LABELS AND WIDTHS to be a hyperlink but it is all good now.

Thanks.

Thanks for joining this thread, tomegranate,

The invoice template may be damaged, and that's why it's not applying to all invoices even if it's already set up as the default format.

You'll want to delete the old template, then customize a new one to fix the issue. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Custom Form Styles.
  2. Click the Drop-down arrow next to Edit.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Click Yes, delete this style to confirm.

To design a new one, feel free to read through this article for your guidance: Customise invoices, quotes, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Thank you and stay safe!
