Hello there, @kjenkyn.

I'm glad to see you reaching out to the Community. It would be my pleasure to help you get back on track with connecting your credit card.

Before anything else, I'd like to clarify if the credit card number a new account or a sub-account to your existing connected account? Keep in mind that QuickBooks relies on how your bank shares your posted transactions with us.

If the new credit card is a new account, you can connect it directly to QuickBooks. Here's how

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Pick Chart of Accounts.
  3. Hit New.
  4. In the Account Type drop-down, select the account type.
  5. In the Detail Type drop-down, select the type of account you want to create.
  6. If more than one choice appears in the Detail Type field, select the type of account you want to create.
  7. In the Name field, enter a name for the account.
  8. Tap Save and Close.

But if the new credit card is a sub-account to your existing connected bank account and the transactions are downloaded to one account, all you need to do is to connect the parent account. However, if the transactions were downloaded to the individual accounts, connect the sub-accounts.

To add a sub-account, follow below steps:

  1. Follow the procedure in the previous section to create a parent account.
  2. Ensure to mark the Is sub-account checkbox.
  3. Select the Enter parent account drop-down arrow.
  4. Choose the parent account.
