Hello there, @mick1nine70. I'll share information on how you can match multiple payments to an invoice in the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app.

Matching two payments on one invoice is unavailable using the QBO app on iPad. The program only allows the matching of individual transactions of equal value. That said, you have to perform it by logging in to your account via a web browser on your iPad. Here's how:

  1. Open a web browser on your iPad and log in to your QBO account.
  2. Select the Banking menu and go to the Banking tab.
  3. Next, go to the For review tab.
  4. From there, look for the 1st payment transactions you need to match to the invoice.
  5. Click it and select Find match.
  6. Select the Invoice to match it with the payment and click Save
  7. Then, go back to the For review tab and look for the 2nd payment transaction. Follow steps 5-6 to proceed.

For reference, check out this article: Find and categorise transactions in QuickBooks.

Once everything is fine, you can now reconcile your account to ensure the amount matches your real-life bank statement. For detailed instructions, refer to this link: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please know that you can always rely on us if you encounter any issues while applying payments to your invoices in QBO. I'll be your guide to ensure your success.
