How do I restore an old .QBB file from 2018? I need to view some old invoices but don't have CCV file or spreadsheet of the data. All suggestions welcome!

I've got you covered today, jodie-free2move-.

The .QBB file extension is a backup file format used by Quickbooks Desktop (QBDT). Thus, you will need an updated version of QBDT software to restore the old file.

If you no longer have the QBDT 2018 version installed on your computer, you can download the free trial and most updated version of the software and then open the backup company file from there.

For the complete instructions on how to download the trial version, kindly check out this link: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.

After the complete download, you can now restore the old file. To do this, here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Select the File menu, then Open or Restore Company...
  3. Restore the file based on its type: Windows backup file (.qbb)

Learn more about the process of restoring your file through this article: Restore your file.

Also, if you're planning to migrate your QBDT 2018 data to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can refer to this article: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
