Question

How to access List of quotes, without using the search function... (I rarely remember what the customer's name is) Just a place to access all of them in number order.

I don't need a human, I just need to find out how to easily access the list of quotes, without having to remember who the quote was for and accessing via the customer name. I was thinking an additional tab that come up from the Sales tab would be good. SALES> (all sales/Invoices/Customers/Products&Services/QUOTES)... It would make sense to put it here!

It’s nice to see you in the Community, gtab.

Our users’ convenience matters to us, especially when using QuickBooks Online features (QBO). That's why I'm here to walk you through the steps of obtaining a list of your customers' quotes by visiting the Transaction List.

It only takes a few clicks to get there. Here’s how:

  1. In your company, navigate to the Sales menu on the left panel to choose Customers.
  2. This will open a screen that shows all the clients added to the company.
  3. Look for the one you’re working on and click the name to see more details.
  4. If you use the Filter option, you’ll only see the Open estimates option.
  5. Head to the Transaction List tab and click the Type drop-down to group all entries according to type. Note that you’ll see all open and close estimates.

After following these steps, you’ll see all estimates for that specific customer together with the status and transaction number. For additional resources, see the following reference: Create and send quotes in QuickBooks Online. It provides detailed instructions on how to manage your estimates. For example, updating its status, converting one into an invoice, or deleting the quote.

Regarding your other concern, we always consider our customers’ ideas when adding more QBO features. This will determine what specific functionality our users need the most.

I encourage sending feedback about adding the Quotes tab on the Sales screen. You can let our product engineers know about this one for inclusion in future updates.

To submit:

  1. Hover your mouse to the Gear icon in the upper right to choose Feedback under Profile.
  2. You’ll see a window that lets you input your thoughts about the product.
  3. Make sure to enter them in the field box.
  4. Click Next to send.

To help you manage all your customers’ transactions, our self-help articles contain topics about processing customer payments, creating a refund or credit, as well as recording sales-related activities. You’ll have to click the link to see the complete details of the guide.

Reach out to me again if you need further assistance viewing other sales entries or running any customer processes. I’ll be glad to lend a helping hand. Have a great weekend.
