Question

Is it possible to click on a paid invoice and choose to send a sales receipt without having to manually generate one? Basically sending a receipt for the paid invoice.

You can send the paid invoice to your customer, but the payment receipt can only be printed, rabs44.


Here’s how to send the paid invoice without generating another one:

  1. Go to Sales from the left menu. 
  2. Select the Invoices tab. 
  3. From the list, locate the invoice involved. 
  4. Click the arrow next to Print. 
  5. Select Send. 

Here’s how to print the payment receipt:

  1. Go to Sales from the left menu. 
  2. Select the Invoices tab. 
  3. From the list, locate and open the invoice involved. 
  4. Click on the 1 payment link under PAID. 
  5. Click the Date link to open the payment. 
  6. Select Print at the bottom.

Excellent, thank you for that. At least the print option allows you to save as a pdf to then send to the customer. It should be set up that once an invoice is paid, a simple click of a button could send a receipt for the client.

Yes that is right Rabs! Having a pdf printer is very handy for this purpose. There are also a few options online which you can download for free.
