Is there any way to connect PayPal but stop Paypal sales and expenses from showing in QuickBooks?

Our bookkeeper reconciles our bank statement which shows the Paypal payout but also when we send receipt to receipt-bank it was categorising the invoices so they were being reconciled twice

I'll help you in handling that, scott42.

If you're using PayPal app automation and bank integration, all the type of transactions that impact your PayPal account will be imported to QuickBooks Online. Currently, we're unable to prevent the sales and expenses from being synced.

To avoid duplicates, you'll want to categorize the imported transactions from app and then exclude the downloaded PayPal transaction from the Banking page. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to Banking menu.
  2. Select the Banking tab, then click the appropriate bank account.
  3. Head to the For Review tab.
  4. Tick the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  5. Select Exclude.

Lastly, here are some articles that you can read to help manage your PayPal transactions and keep your accounts balanced and up-to-date:

I'm just a post away if you have further questions about this topic. Have a great rest of the day.
