Morning,I deleted a customers invoice in error. I need to create the invoice again with the same invoice number eg 2032A. Can this be done and if so how? Thanks

Yes, you can recreate the deleted invoice with the same invoice number in QuickBooks Online. You can use the Audit log feature to get the details of the transaction. Here's how:

1. Click on the Settings or Gear icon.
2. Click on Audit Log.
3. Select a date range.
4. Under Events, choose Show only these events.
5. Place a checkmark of the Transactions box.
6. Select Deleted/Voided Transactions under the Show dropdown menu.
7. Click on Apply.

Take note of the information, and use that to recreate the invoice.

Now to be able to recreate the invoice with the same invoice number, check your company settings first to see if Custom transaction numbers is turned on. Here's how:

1. Click on the Settings or Gear icon.
2. Click on Account & Settings.
3. Click on Sales tab, locate Sales form content.
4. Turn on Custom transaction numbers.
5. Click on Save, and Done.

Once you have done the above, you can now enter the transaction by going to the Invoicing page.
