My customers order and pay on shopify, I recreate the invoice on QB and need to add the shopify fees

eg; customers shopify order is $1000, shopify fee is $10 I get a payment from shoify for $990
When i enter the payment in QB against the customer it shows $10 short payment so i need to add the fee to the invoice and so I can claim it as an expence.

Anybody know how to solve this?
Thanks for yourhelp

Hi MarkJames,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Let me share with you the steps on how to create a service item for Shopify fee and add it on your customer invoice.

  1. Go to Gear icon and select Products and Services.
  2. Select New
  3. Select Service.
  4. Enter Name.
  5. Select an Income account.
  6. Then select Save and close

Once done, open or create an invoice and apply the Shopify fee. Here's how:

  1. On Product/Service column, select the service item created.
  2. Enter Amount as negative ( - ).
  3. Select Save and close
