My icon for taking photos of receipts is not on the main page. I cannot find it. How do I get it back?

How do I take photos of receipts with QuickBooks online?

Let me help you take photos of your receipts in the QuickBooks Online app.

 

Please know that the snap receipt feature is still available in the QBO mobile app. If you're unable to access it, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to clear the corrupted cache that causes misbehavior in the program. 

 

For Android

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

 

For iOS:

 

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Tap iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Tap Offload App.

 

If the issue persists, you can also close and restart the application or uninstall and re-install it. Once done, return to your mobile app and use the receipt snap feature again. Here's how:

 

  1. Open the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
  2. Click the Menu ≡ icon.
  3. Tap the Receipt snap.
  4. Click the Receipt camera and snap a photo of your receipt or bill.
  5. Hit the Use this photo, then Done.
