My invoices aren’t sending. Some go through, some dont. What would be causing this?

Sending invoices is a great way to let the customer know how much they owe you. Having trouble performing this process can delay your work. Don’t worry, I’m here with the steps to make sure you can send invoices to them seamlessly, @joshuabower165.

 

Before we proceed with the troubleshooting steps, I just want to share some possible reasons why invoices are undelivered:

 

  • The email address was entered incorrectly.
  • There was a temporary issue with the recipient's email server.

 

If verified that’s not the issue, I recommend asking your customer to check their junk mail and spam folders to find the email. If they don’t see it there, let’s clear and then re-enter your email address to refresh the connection. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and click the Settings icon.
  2. Then, under Your Company, choose Account and settings
  3. Next, select Company and click the edit icon in the Contact info section.
  4. Clear the Company email field and enter the desired address as is, even if it appears correct. 
  5. Click Save, then Done.
  6. After that, send yourself a test transaction.
  7. If the same thing happens, try using a different email address that has a different domain (for instance, if you were using a Gmail email address, try a Hotmail or Yahoo address instead).

Once everything is fine, you can now email invoices to your customer smoothly.
