Hi there, SHARPJO4.

Welcome to the Community!

Did you add and assign the correct currency for your US client? If so, once you created a foreign currency invoice QuickBooks Online will display the total in home currency and foreign amount. I recommend clicking on Print or Preview on the invoice and you should see the specific foreign amount for the invoice.

Furthermore, if you have foreign currency customer, you'll have to add them with USD as their currency. This lets you record transactions in the currency in which they pay you. First, make sure you've turned on the multi-currency feature in your QuickBooks Online account.

Here's how to Assign a foreign currency to a new customer:

  1. Go to Customers & leads or Sales tab and select Customers .
  2. Select New customer.
  3. In the Customer information window, select the customer's currency from the Currency dropdown field. This is the currency that the customer uses to pay you for products or services.
  4. Fill out the required information and select Save.

If this is an existing customer, we're unable to edit the current currency assigned to them. You'll have to create a new customer profile to them and make sure to assign the correct Currency this time. You can check this link to learn more about how to Assign a foreign currency to a customer in QuickBooks Online.
