Why are "amounts" showing up as "rate" on the Sales Receipt? Even though I enter them under "amounts"...

This will happen when you enter first the amount in the Amount column. When creating a sales receipt, QuickBooks will automatically recognize what’s entered in each field.

To record your transaction accurately, I suggest inputting the data in sequence like QTY, Rate, and Amount. This way, QuickBooks will show accurate information.
